Education, not advice
Everything on Financialdiary, including guides, calculators and templates, is general information for education. It does not take your circumstances into account and is not personalised financial, investment, tax, insurance or legal advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment or financial product.
Before an important decision, check the current rules with the official source and consider speaking to a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant or another qualified professional.
Calculators give estimates
- Results depend on the values you enter. Expected returns, interest rates and inflation are assumptions, not predictions.
- Each calculator lists its formula, its assumptions and its limits. Banks, fund houses and the tax department may round differently or apply rules a calculator doesn't cover, so their figures can differ.
- Tax calculators follow the rules of the tax year they name. Rules change; check that the year matches yours.
Accuracy
We work to keep every page correct and current, cite official sources where rules or rates are involved, and test calculators against worked examples. Mistakes can still happen and rules can change after a page is written. If you spot an error, please tell us through the contact section.
