Privacy policy

Financialdiary collects as little as possible. This page explains exactly what that is.

Last updated 8 Nov 2026

Who runs this site

Financialdiary is run by [Operator's legal name]. For any privacy question or request, write to sunilsinbox@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, your email address goes directly to our email service, [Email service name], which stores it, sends you a confirmation email and the letter, and gives every letter an unsubscribe link. This website itself stores nothing.

What we don't collect

  • Calculator inputs stay in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are worked out on your device and are not sent to us. They are added to the page address so you can bookmark or share a result, so anyone you send that link to will see those numbers.
  • There are no accounts yet, so we hold no passwords, profiles or financial records.
  • This website doesn't count your visits or keep any record of what you read.
  • We use no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Share buttons are plain links that do nothing until you click them.
  • We never sell or rent personal information.

Our hosting provider

Like any website, our hosting provider's servers may record technical details such as IP addresses and browser type in their logs, to keep the service secure and running. Those logs are handled under the provider's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it, and your choices

Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe (every letter has a link) or ask us to delete it. Write to sunilsinbox@gmail.com to correct your address or to have it deleted, and we will do so.

Changes to this policy

When accounts and personal finance tracking open, this policy will be updated before they launch to explain how that information is stored and protected. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our terms of use and disclaimer.
